Meet Our Staff
Hello, my name is Megan, co-founder of Over The Rainbow Care and We'll Meet Again Dementia Day Centres. My career started when I finished my A levels and decided to become a home carer, supporting older adults in the local community. I found this an extremely rewarding job, and felt privileged to have met some amazing people who let me in to their lives, showed me how to be compassionate and empathic and taught me more about the sort of person I wanted to be.
I knew then, that I wanted to learn more and I went to University, where I gained a degree in Occupational Therapy. During my time at university and since qualifying, I have worked as an Activities Coordinator in Care homes for older adults, and have seen the positive impact that activities have had on their well-being, independence and quality of life.
I live in Harrogate with my Husband and our son Stanley.
Hi, my name is Natalie and I am one of the founders of Over The Rainbow Care. I have wanted to support people living with dementia and raise awareness of the disease since I was 15 years old, which was when my lovely Grandpa was diagnosed with Alzheimers. My Nanna was his full time carer until he sadly passed away in 2007, so I had first hand experience of the effects dementia can have on a person and their family.
Through the We'll Meet Again Dementia Day Centres, I hope to be able to make a difference to peoples lives who are living with dementia and to support the families who love them.
I have a degree in Healthcare management, a diploma in dementia studies and I am a qualified trainer of dementia awareness and safeguarding of vulnerable adults. I live in Marton Cum Grafton with my Husband and our daughter Mollie.
